Episode 50 - Hotel and the Goose Man (Dopplegangland)

Sean and Melanie start out this episode discussing twins - both in their own lives and in movies and television. They also touch on mentions of Buffy in recent media and provide the details on the 5 X 7 X 5 haiku contest! 
While untangling the twin turmoil of the Buffy episode "Dopplegangland", Sean points out some connections between this episode and the movie "Jawbreaker". Melanie describes her first gaming system (including a Pac Man knockoff) and points out a change in the show's opening credits.  There's also an interesting discussion on the effectiveness of crosses against non-secular vampires.

Episode 43 - Buffy the Dog-Faced Girl from Columbus (The Wish)

We're up to "The Wish", one of Sean's favorite episodes! Dive into the introduction of Anya/Anyanka and the Bizarro world she creates when Cordelia makes a wish. Melanie has some strong feelings about Cordelia being simultaneously bitten by both Vampire Willow and Xander. Sean points out a piece of 90s technology in one scene that is no longer in use and argues with Melanie about the matches used when Cordelia's burning some photos.
